I've rented Sidecar's spaces for multiple small shoots and have been repeatedly impressed. The ground-floor parking lot load-in is super convenient. The hair/makeup and wardrobe areas are well appointed. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they have a great selection of in-house gear, and the spaces are so versatile. As a production manager for a small boutique production company for the past 5 years, Sidecar has been one of our regular go to studio for music videos, commercials, and interviews. The staff here are friendly and professional, they have nearly all equipment that you might need to rent for a shoot, and the space is clean and well maintained. Pricing is competitive and there’s nothing but good vibes.

I recently had the pleasure of producing/directing a commercial shoot for my company RippleKey at Dangerworks and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The studio's location, coupled with its state-of-the-art facilities, made it the perfect choice for our project. The studio space itself is well-designed and equipped with top-notch lighting and sound equipment. The staff at Dangerworks were incredibly professional, helpful, and accommodating throughout the entire process. From the initial booking to the actual shoot day, their team ensured that everything ran smoothly. The spacious and versatile layout of the studio allowed for a variety of creative shots, and the availability of amenities like dressing rooms and a kitchenette added to the overall convenience. The attention to detail in the studio's design and the cleanliness of the space further contributed to a positive working environment. We were able to use the green screen, office and kitchen locations which covered everything we needed. I have shot many projects in both studios, and it is always a great experience. I agree with the other reviews that the spaces are large, clean and that the studio manager is a wonderful asset. It is also true that they have a great inhouse selection of camera and lighting gear. Something that I enjoy that hasn't been mentioned is that both studios have parking lot entry doors on ground level that open directly to the spaces. If you are a production that needs to bring in its own gear or a huge prop or art set pieces you will have no trouble. It is an ease of load in rarely found in NYC studios.
