My school hired Island Photography for graduating senior portraits. I never got high school graduation pictures so I was really excited for these. But the photos I received are airbrushed to hell—you can hardly see the bridge of my nose in some of them. There's barely any skin texture left. It feels like it was really rushed or maybe just done by someone without much experience. They blurred out my freckles, and two larger freckles I have are just kind of blurry blobs now. They also removed all the freckles on my upper arms. And I often forget sunscreen so I have a LOT. It also looks like they ironed out my dimples, and I like my dimples :( I never asked for retouching, I was never informed about it, and I don't want it. It just doesn't really look like me, and I want my picture to look like me. I think it's pretty sh!tty to automatically fix what they perceive as flaws, but that's a different discussion. The background editing for some photos is really sloppy, too. I understand that editing around hair is hard, but guys... it's literally part of what you do professionally. $200 is super high for just the digitals—even if they were done well. $200 for what I got is actually insane. I included some pictures so others can see for themselves. The photo of me outside is another professional photo for comparison. And actually now that I look at it again, the photo without the gown looks like they just rotated my whole head? My earring is defying gravity. And take a look at my hairline on the right side of the portrait. It's so unnatural. I only added a star because the girl who took the photos was nice and obviously working very hard. It was just her, and she mentioned to us she didn't even have time for a lunch break. Me and a couple other students literally told her to take a lunch break and we'd push back our appointment time. She was clearly overworked by management. Two hundred whole dollars, y'all, like I don't got loans to pay off now. Once I graduate I'm reaching out for a refund.

I highly recommend Island Photography! My experience was fantastic. The quality of the photos was great. Accessing the photos was easy, and there was a great variety of options to choose from. I had plenty of time to select my daughter's pictures, and once I placed my order, they arrived promptly.

From the start of my first phone call- to my photos arriving- Island Photography did a WONDERFUL job! Photos came out great- my daughter looked exactly like my daughter- and I am super pleased!
