Based on customer reviews, there are conflicting opinions regarding FD Photo Studio Scott. One reviewer expresses significant dissatisfaction, stating that the studio has declined in quality over the past two years. Issues mentioned include scheduling conflicts, malfunctioning or damaged equipment, and poor customer service. A specific incident involved a studio being occupied by another client who extended their time, leading to a dispute about extra charges despite other studios being available. The reviewer also noted difficulties with finding equipment and a lack of response to a job application. This customer strongly recommends using Peerspace instead and states that FD Photo Studio Scott is no longer a viable option for them, especially compared to its pre-pandemic state.

Conversely, another reviewer is unclear about the negative reviews, finding the studio affordable and functional. They acknowledge it's more basic than other locations but found it easy to locate and use, with everything working as expected.

It appears that while FD Photo Studio Scott may offer a more budget-friendly option, potential users should be aware of recent reports of reliability issues concerning bookings, equipment, and customer service. It might be prudent to inquire about the current state of the studio and its amenities before booking.

Over the past two years the Studio has gone to trash. From scheduling conflicts to equipment just not working or being damaged. It’s all around not really somewhere. I enjoy shooting anymore. The kicker came from my last shoot. I had a studio booked with a first-time client and that studio was being used by another client who needed to extend the time. Mind you all the other studios were available, not only from the calendar but I physically checked and of course there was no one in them. When I called the receptionist because there was none there at the studio, they said that I would have to pay extra. I’m still in this moment. Trying to figure out why I’m paying extra for something that I have no control over. I have already paid for my studio time. I shouldn’t have to pay because there’s another client before me taking up my studio time. After an hour and a half of back-and-forth with the receptionist or whoever it was dealing with the booking, I finally was able to get into another studio, which I originally said to do in the beginning. Thank God, my client was very understanding. Although I had to accommodate her with an extra hour shooting which came out of my own pocket. To make matters worse, I needed an umbrella of diffusers are in the umbrella was completely damaged. The receivers were all in one studio, which no one knew so it took me about 15 minutes just to locate those. I’ve also applied to help manage the studio as it’s something I do very well but I never heard back. No confirmation, no response, it’s just an all-around crap show at this point. It’s really sad because before the pandemic, it was an amazing place to come and create and meet other creators but now it’s just completely off my list of places to shoot. That was the last straw. You’re better off going to Peerspace in finding some other shoots

I'm really unclear why there are so many bad reviews for this spot. Yes, it is definitely more bare bones than the other locations, but you see that in the pictures. It's not hard to find, there's videos on how to enter. Everything worked, everything was easy to locate. It serves its purpose.

Today we went to our engagement photo shoot that we booked a few months ago with FD Studios here in Brooklyn, and unbeknownst to us, the ratings for this place are extremely low, as they should be. From the moment we arrived, we were completely thrown off and confused. The location is not where it says on the map, but that's another issue. We had to walk up to the top floor, as seems to be the case for all their locations from Brooklyn to Long Island City, without consideration for those who are disabled or carrying multiple items and luggage for a paid photo shoot where they charge outrageous amounts of money. Upon reaching the top floor, we found that the AC was broken, making it extremely humid, nasty, and hot. The secretary didn’t apologize for the inconvenience, pretended not to hear us, and didn’t offer another room or another day to shoot. There was no acknowledgement of our situation or any attempt to fix it, which is basic hospitality. We had to sweat through our engagement shoot, and it is unacceptable. We would like our money back for this horrendous experience, and I hope no one else has to go through what we went through today. Our wedding is coming up, and instead of celebrating, we had to endure a miserable experience. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

Only rated this place a one star because that’s the lowest I can go. Teamed up with an amazing company to join in a project. We agreed to deal with this particular studio because of the reviews and some mutual people that had dealt with them as well. We’ve been planning the event for MONTHS. This studio was BOOKED. They cancelled today and the event is Saturday. Do you know how hard it is to find the perfect space in BROOKLYN .. LAST MINUTE ? Very unprofessional , very unapologetic about the whole situation. Just wanted to leave an honest review to save someone the heartache down the road. So disappointed.

Love FD Studios! I’ve only been to the LIC location thus far and love it but I was booking a studio at this Bklyn location and Sylvia was incredibly helpful and patient - went above and beyond to help me understand the studio’s natural light at various times of day. Thank you Sylvia!
