Colby is an exceptional photographer who brought an exquisite touch to our tintype photo session. From our first conversations when I inquired about the session to the in-person hospitality made us feel truly welcomed, while their professionalism and attention to detail were remarkable. Colby took the time to explain every step thoughtfully, making the experience not just memorable but educational too; we were very fascinated with the chemical process. The finished product was impeccably packaged, reflecting the same care and artistry that went into creating the photographs. Highly recommended for a unique and thoroughly enjoyable photography experience! We will use his services again in the future.

What a wonderful experience! My husband and I couldn’t have had a better session with Colby—he’s a true artist. Our portraits came out beautifully, and Colby really brought us alongside to show us the whole process. Can’t recommend him enough!

Shooting with Colby was a great experience! His warm & inviting studio is filled with incredible art, and feels like a really safe and creative space. Colby paid attention to every detail, and took the time necessary to make sure I got the portraits I wanted. He was happy to show me his wet plate process, answered all my questions, and is impressively knowledgeable about his craft. I definitely recommend!

Colby's the best! Truly understands the value in tintype style photography and walked me through the history of it. Was super accommodating with me and my cat for our pet portrait. Can't recommend enough :)

Couldn't have asked for a better first-time wet-plate session. Colby was so generous with his time and knowledge. He is meticulous and thoughtful and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. The photo-taking process felt magical and seeing the image come to life was an experience that you simply cant replicate in the digital realm. Would definitely recommend Colby's studio to anyone looking to have their portrait taken in the NYC area :)
